100% Pumpkin seed oil

Pumpkin is originated in Central America and Mexico. After America was discovered by Columbus, pumpkin began to be imported to Europe and Asia. Specialised press states that already in year 1773 the ruler Maria Theresa recommended to use pumpkin seed oil instead of healing ointments. In this time also its beneficial effects on hard skin were discovered.

Pumpkin seeds contain a lot of zinc and they are favoured as a delicacy all around the globe. The usage of pumpkin seed oil is recommended to all family members. In comparison to animal fats it does not load the organism with cholesterol, but grants it essential unsaturated fatty acids.

The aromatic pumpkin seed oil is acquired by pressing seeds of ripe pumpkins and it is characteristic for its dark green colour and immutable flavour. According to the promoter of a healthy diet Anna Kozárová it should be excluded from any modern and healthy diet.

The production process of pumpkin seed oil is traditional. After harvesting, pumpkin seeds are washed and dried. Once they are dried and cleaned they are cut. In the next step the cut seeds are mixed and the resulting mass is put in a roasting tank in which it is roasted under constant stirring which makes the water in seeds evaporate. Pumpkin seed oil is produced in the last final pressing phase. Due to cold pressing all valuable substances are preserved in pumpkin seed oil.
